Rapha Medical Supplies Limited (Rapha Medical) is private company that specializes in the provision of Emergency Health Solutions. Rapha’s mission is to bring Emergency and Diagnostic health care closer to people to reduce the mortality rate associated with inaccessibility to emergency and diagnostic health services to Zero. This is the reason for Rapha’s existence and everything we do is aimed at realizing this Mission. Our Mission is driven by the dilapidated state of Kenya’s health services which is characterized by the following:

  1. Ill equipped health facilities and low level capacity for emergency services.
  2. Centralized location of health facilities usually in urban centres. This forces rural folk to travel great distances just to access health services. In the case of an emergency, such patients may end up dying on their way to these health centres.
  3. The cost of health services remains prohibitive to the majority of rural folks.
  4. Low awareness about the symptoms of and the management of dangerous ailments/conditions such as cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure. The diagnosis of such ailments as cancer is predominantly done by private foundations that offer very costly services.

Rapha Medical’s Service Offering

In response to these challenges, Rapha Medical offers 3 main categories of health solutions:

  1. Emergency equipment
  2. Capacity building solutions

Emergency Equipment

  1. Ambulances: Rapha Medical supplies Advance Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances of different makes such as Toyota Land Cruisers 4x4 off road, Toyota Hilux 4x4 off road, Toyota Hiace 4x4 and 2x4 all fully loaded and fitted with ALS and BLS Equipment.
  2. Accident and Emergency (A&E) equipment: In addition to our ambulance offering, we also provide A&E supplies to hospitals and health centers. This is in response to the reality that some patients pass away not because they did not arrive in hospital on time but because the hospitals they were rushed to were poorly equipped. These equipment include Cardiac/patient Monitors, Defibrillators and AEDs, Suction pumps, Ventilators, Emergency cabinets, cases & bags; trauma kits and first aid kits, we also supply bandages; syringes; IV bags and tubes; blood bags; bed pans; simple surgical equipment and many others as detailed in the product listing.

Capacity Building Solutions

Rapha Medical provides training in Basic and Occupational First Aid, Basic Life Support to paramedics and ambulance staff including the drivers. In addition, we also provide training in advanced Cardiac Life Support skills for medical personnel such as nurses and clinical officers. Through these trainings, Rapha Medical is able to develop the know-how of not only its clients but other members of the public and therefore reducing the mortality rates associated with inadequate life-saving skills. We also provide all required training on the usage of any equipment supplied to our clients at no extra cost.

Other Products & Services

  1. Other medical supplies partners: Rapha also supplies medical consumables and equipment to public & private institutions such as higher institutions of learning, colleges and schools, offices, place of worship, churches, hotels & restaurants, sports clubs and many other groups.
  2. Equipment Maintenance: Rapha not only provide equipment but also provide maintenance and repair services to our customers. This ensures minimal downtime for all the equipment and therefore our clients are always ready to respond to emergencies. For equipment that cannot be repaired, we also provide replacements.
  3. Fire engines: Our passion to save lives by providing the equipment and know-how required to effectively respond to emergencies is the main inspiration behind our fire engine offering. We supply high-end durable fire engines and related products from European manufacturers.
